The <A HREF="http://www.sacbee.com/114/story/1028761.html" REL="nofollow">news story</A> says that "She says she hopes to send a message to church leaders gathering in San Jose for a weeklong legislative meeting where changes to the denomination's positions on marriage and the ordination of gay clergy are scheduled to be discussed.".<BR/><BR/>It also says, "One of the brides, a lawyer who represented Spahr when she faced misconduct charges for performing the earlier weddings in 2004 and 2005, picked the location over a local Presbyterian church that offered to host the service.".
