Shepherd's Inn Night with the Elizabethton Twins

First Presbyterian Church of Elizabethton is proud to be a supporter of the Shepherd's Inn, Carter County's only domestic violence shelter.

We are hoping church folks and friends will come out to Joe O'Brien field on Sunday

to cheer on the Elizabethton Twins...

...or you can cheer on the Johnson City Cardinals

...and enjoy a sundae hand-made from your friends at the Shepherd's Inn!

It is great rookie league baseball from two long-time rivals scrapping for the 2011 Appalachian League title.

The Shepherd's Inn is supplying sundaes and the proceeds will go to make Carter County a safer place for women and children. See you at the ballpark Sunday at 6 p.m.! Here is the announcement:

The Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Department will be sponsoring “SHEPHERD’S INN NIGHT” this Sunday, August 14th with The Elizabethton Twins. The Twins will be playing the Johnson City Cardinals at Elizabethton. There will be a team photograph given to the first 500 fans with proceeds contributed to The Shepherd’s Inn courtesy of Walgreen Drug Store.

“We are happy to sponsor THE SHEPHERD’S INN NIGHT as part of our Twins season…The Shepherd’s Inn is a vital part of our community and worthy of our fan support…” says Mike Mains Director of Elizabethton Parks and Recreation and Manager of the Elizabethton Twins.

Beginning at 6:00 The Shepherd’s Inn will be serving “Sundaes on Sunday.” There will be a charge of $3.00. All proceeds will go directly to The Shepherd’s Inn.

Elizabethton/Carter County’s only emergency shelter assisting victims of Domestic Violence and temporarily homeless women and their children, The Shepherd’s Inn is a 24/7 operation. Shelter funding relies totally on gifts from the community. The shelter has been serving the Carter County community since 1997.
