Inner Peace in the News

Thanks to the Johnson City Press for including the announcement about our Original Blessing workshop in today's paper.

Here is the
announcement:

ELIZABETHTON — The workshop “Original Blessing: Pathways to Inner Peace” will be held May 21 from 6:30-9 p.m. and continue May 22 from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 119 W. F St.

The workshop is designed to enhance individual spiritual experiences by exploring various pathways to inner peace from ancient and modern traditions.

According to a news release from the church, “Original Blessing” offers a post-modern understanding of divine mystery appropriate for today’s world. Based on the work of Matthew Fox, the workshop offers an alternative to our culture’s traditional relationship with God. This workshop will offer a variety of spiritual practices, including meditation, chanting, body prayer, art, singing and more.

The May 22 workshop will include a potluck for participants. Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch as well as a dish to share for that evening. Light snacks will be provided.

Cost of the workshop is $40 per person.

To register by phone, call 543-7737. To register online, visit the Original Blessing page.

For more information, e-mail Rebecca Nunley or call Rebecca at 743-5298.
This is going to be a great weekend. Hope to see you!

  1. They got the fee wrong. I'll send a correction on Monday. A very nice way to get another mention in!
