How Old is Earth, Senator?

Six thousand years. Arizona State Senator, Sylvia Allen (R), knows her geology, all right.

Don't know what we should object to more: her age of Earth theory or her statement that "they will never know the mine was there when they're done."

  1. yeah, and in arizona there's NO PLACE that you can see / touch earth that is older than 6,000 years old, so it must be true. [ note sarcasm ] i guess that whole grand canyon thing being created by erosion by the colorado river is just one big farce, eh? it was God! God dug out the canyon, that's how it happened!!! (not that God couldn't, i just believe he didn't)

  3. Frankly, the statement that pisses me off the most is "...and there were no environmental laws..."

what about that little bit about being shepherds of God's creation? Am I just making that up?

  4. Gawd is she stupid!

She even makes Sarah Palin look smart.

And what does that say for her constituents? OMG.

But hey, the Grand Canyon was formed in the flood! It took just 40 days and 40 nights.
