-----

I returned a little bit ago from a press conference in Bristol Virginia, just a few blocks down from where President Obama is speaking at a Kroger store. The press conference was for the
Service Employees International Union. They are part of the Change That Works campaign. They are advocating among many things, health care reform.

It was good to get out in the streets. It will be interesting to watch the news coverage tonight.

  1. The Blue Dogs tried to kill the Public Option but so far, as far as I can tell I should say, the Public Option remains intact after the latest round of Blue Dog obstructionism.
fortunately the failed to exclude that aspect thus far.

  3. unfortunately the people in this committee that is coming up with a plan are property of big insurance and big pharm so i am not planning on jumping for joy. we are governed by corporate interest and we didn't even vote them into office.

i will be cynical until they can actually discredit my felings a bit better. obama included.

Just look at those inbreds. What time did this occur? Afternoon?
    Do these people have jobs?

Of course they do. They were on the clock in these pictures.

AssHatters for Hire. I wonder what they'd charge me to dress up like Bongs, stand by the Quiznos cup, and wave at passing traffic.

  6. They were actually bussed in from the DC area, I think. I don't remember where I saw that - perhaps one of the news sites that reported.

  7. One group that was bused in was "Americans for Prosperity" which appears to be a product of the "John Locke Foundation", apparently a conservative think tank against taxes and the idea of man made global warming. No grassroots here...just more astroturf.

Snad, you're probably right. Just like the Tea Party Tools. Orchestrated Oblivion .

  9. It was a traveling carnival of fear and misinformation.
