I went to high school in Butte, Montana. Butte is mentioned in a few songs. Of course there is the silly and sexist, Long-Legged Hannah from Butte, Montana. Ray Stevens got a haircut in Butte.
But I found this local boy, Tim Montana. He has kind of a Kid Rock thing going. He grew up in Elk Park just north of Butte. David Letterman, who spends a lot of time in Montana, saw him perform and asked him to be on his little television show back east.
