Tony Feathers at FPC Elizabethton

This Sunday, singer/songwriter, Tony Feathers is going to sing a few original songs for us in worship. If you are near our mountain, come check it out at 11.

On Friday August 27th, Tony is going to do a benefit concert for us at the church. The concert is in memory of Nancy Herrin to benefit the Edisto Island Open Land Trust.

The concert is at seven.

Tony is a native of NE Tennessee whose guitar playing, gentle voice and diverse subject matter reflect a life spent in discovery, Tony blends the soulful grace of acoustic blues, the subtle wit of Appalachia and the easy twang of Hawaiian slack key guitar to make his music as sweet as the twining scents of gardenia and honeysuckle wafting on the summer breeze. You’ll not want to miss this wonderful evening of acoustic music.

Tony will have cds for sale. There is no admission charge. Donations are encouraged. All proceeds from donations will be given to the Edisto Island Open Land Trust, in memory of Nancy Herrin.

Check out his biography, lyrics, listen to a few clips, and find him on myspace.

  1. Tony was awesome. He sang four great original songs. He said he never sang in church before. His last song was about religious tolerance:

"You handle your snake and I'll handle mine."

hee hee. Don't miss his concert, August 27th!
