Fair Trade is Fun in Elizabethton!

I spotted this in today's Johnson City Press:

ELIZABETHTON — The International Fair Trade Craft and Gift Sale is set for Nov. 13-14 at First Presbyterian Church, 119 W. F St. The event will feature handmade gifts, jewelry, personal accessories, home decor, art from sculpture to ceramics, textiles, baskets, musical instruments and more. The same runs from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 13 and 12:30-3 p.m. Nov. 14. Proceeds benefit Ten Thousand Villages, which helps market Third World handicrafts and tells the stories of the artists. For more information, call 833-6220.
Yep. That would be us.

The Ten Thousand Villages Sale is one of our big deals. All the money raised from the sale of handmade products from third world artisans goes to the artisans. It is Fair Trade.

The church has offered this sale for many years, long before I arrived. Dr. Monkerstein has even visited it and wrote a nice report a couple years ago.

Hope you can join us to do your holiday shopping and invite a friend.

Find the sale on Facebook. While you are there thank Becca for organizing it for us this year!
