Yes, Pilkey. A major insult. I lived in the middle east for a long time,.. the bottom of the shoe, the hand you wipe your butt with, Jews and a dog. (not necessarily in that order) Nothing is lower in Muslim culture. Too bad the guy's aim was so poor.
Perhaps he lost a child or something to BushCo's greed. Lots of Iraqis have.
Now, aside from the entertainment value of Bush ducking a sandal wielding attacker, what we saw there was the truth.
THE TRUTH.
That which is routinely omitted from gov't reports and most media releases came shining through a tiny gap in the propaganda. Quite simply, Bush and his Neocon vermin think it's ok to kill a million people to go from secular dictatorship to Islamic Fundamentalist Theocracy with Rigged Elections.
We (the Left) have said that it's not since 2003. The Iraqi people obviously agree.
NO ONE forgets, or forgives, watching their loved one's die for nothing. Iraq will haunt us for generations to come.
Apparently, throwing a shoe at someone is a major insult in Muslim countries, unlike here where it is a sign of love and approval.

Ah, Pilkey, but when I threw that shoe at you the other day, it was a sign of love and approval! Really.
