I LOVE this group. They are brilliant.
Yes! Rachel Maddow loves them too.
Thanks for putting me in touch with this group. I need to download some of these signs cause I pay a lot for health care and I sure don't want to pay for somebody else's too! You know, it's just like the Good Book says: "Take care of your own, because charity begins at home". (Can't quite quote chapter and verse on that, but I'm sure it's in there somewhere. If you're reading and find a link to that quote, would you please send me the link?)
I'm not sure I follow...so the Billionaires for Wealthcare believe that the Tea protestors (i.e. conservatives) are the reason that we get the current healthcare reform plans put forward by Obama and other powerful, crooked lawmakers in Washington. The way I understand it is simply that the Left wants the public option, which is fine if it is done right, and the Right wants the government to stay completely out of it..... so what you get is a healthcare plan that amounts to a magnanimous gift to the health insurance industry--corporate facism. The people to blame are in Washington; they are not the teabaggers. I put the ultimate blame on the money (FED) machine and corporate lobbyists. BTW, most conservatives that I know do not support corporate welfare. The reason that they want government to stay out of healthcare is because they believe in the creativity and ingenuity of humans. For example, "What if instead of joining a health insurance plan, you could buy a membership directly from a hospital or doctor? What if a doctor wanted to have a cash-only practice, or make house calls, or determine his or her own patient load, or otherwise practice medicine outside the constraints of the current bureaucratic system? Alternative healthcare delivery models will be at an even stronger competitive disadvantage if families are forced to buy into the insurance model." -source
I think, Rachel, that the Billionaires are merely using humor and creativity to let the "Teabaggers" know that they are swallowing a big, nasty pill that won't help them at all.
Snad, I think that the Billionaires for Wealthcare could definitely put their energies to better use. Thanks to the teabaggers, the "private mandate sausage machine" (-coined by kucinich) might just not get passed. It's the corrupt politicians in Washingotn (crosses party lines) in Washington that is selling out the American people--not the teabagger protestors.
