Gethsemane

It is Thursday of Holy Week. Mark records it in 14:12-72.

This is what I wrote last time, They'll All Talk About Us When We Die.

It is the last supper, the betrayal, the arrest, the trial before Pilate and Peter's denial. Before his arrest, Jesus prays in Gethsemane.

This is a good scene. Jesus is fully human and full of doubts.
You're far too keen on where and how, but not so hot on why.
The struggle is not just with human beings. It is a struggle with G-d. The scene for me has always captured the spirit of the psalms and of prayer. Sometimes the call is harsh. G-d is distant. The cup is poison. We don't know why. We don't know what the reward might be or if there is one. We jump and trust.
