Protect Your Holy Church from the Rain!

Here is a post in honor of the Presbytery of San Francisco for building an umbrella to stop the gathering storm of raining gays. You can build a giant gay repellent umbrella! Here is the prototype:

  1. San Francisco can surprise you. After all, this is the city that is the home of Michael Savage. It would be nice to believe that everyone here is a paragon of tolerance and diversity, but it isn't necessarily so.

There's a small Presbyterian church in my part of town that has no web presence and which I know nothing about, but I did notice that it is not a More Light church. I'm not sure that proves anything--maybe they have reasons for not participating that I don't know about--and since I have no knowledge about the church or about internal Presbyterian politics. Anyway, I would not be surprised to learn that at least some churches here are a little behind the times, to say the least.

  2. I bet the biggest problem was with people assuming it was a "no-brainer" that SF would go Yes - and thus they didn't make the effort to attend. You know the No folks didn't take anything for granted!

    Every vote counts, folks!

  3. My hunch is that a lot of supporters didn't make it to the meeting as amendment B is lost nationwide anyway. I think the result would have been different if we had needed SF to pass it at the national level.
