“Whether intentionally or unintentionally, some kind of cultural genocide is taking place,”
said the Dalai Lama, the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader. He was referring to China’s policy of encouraging the ethnic Han majority to migrate to Tibet, restrictions on Buddhist temples and re-education programs for monks. (Read More)

Pope Benedict XVI issued one of his strongest appeals for peace in Iraq on Sunday....
The pope also denounced the 5-yearlong Iraq war, saying it had provoked the complete breakup of Iraqi civilian life.
"Enough with the slaughters! Enough with the violence. Enough with the hatred in Iraq!”
Benedict said to applause at the end of his Palm Sunday Mass in St. Peter’s Square. (Read More)
So fellow preachers. Do we let the Pope and the Dalai Lama have all the fun? Or do you think we ought to speak out with our congregations, on our blogs, and where ever else about stuff, that is like, important?
