In Oil We Live and Move and Have Our Being

Time for your midnight movie. This is The Oil Factor: Behind the War on Terror. Filmed in 2004, it connects some dots regarding the Project for the New American Century and the U.S. grab for oil in Iraq and Central Asia. In October 2004 Democracy Now! did a show about it.

It didn't do so well in explaining Peak Oil, but it did point out that these "wars on terror" are really "wars for remaining oil resources" and they will not end in our lifetimes.

Unless, of course, Americans become Americans and get our heads out of our behinds and refuse to cooperate with all of the killing, drug dealing, lying, and stealing done so that our so-called non-negotiable "American way of life" will continue.

More and more movies, books, websites and so forth are talking about Peak Oil. As they should, of course. I hope more and more people will
