A Refreshingly Positive Social Experiment

Snad posted this over at PFLAG Tri-Cities. Very informative!

Moral of the story:

Speaking out makes a difference!

  1. That's awesome!

I wonder how it would go over here in the "good ol' south" though. I'm glad there seems to be a growing acceptance here in the Tri-Cities, but...how about rural areas or Alabama/Mississippi?

  2. Wow.

Much better than I would have expected from a North Jersey blue-collar town. I'm impressed.

  3. Welcome Fjorab and Mark!

What I got from this video is that anywhere people speak up a difference is made.

I thought it was a good point about tolerance and how no one wants to be isolated or seen as intolerant.

  4. The other take away I got from the video was the guy who fell in with the homophobe, but then when the cameras were rolling, acted differently. It tells me that individuals tend to mirror the prevailing sentiment very easily. Open minded people can use that by modeling the right behavior and not being too quick to condemn.
