I do hope you are having an enjoyable Darwin Day.
I celebrated Charles Darwin's birthday by checking out a couple of lectures at Roan Mountain State Park and taking a short geology hike at the Peg Leg Mine.
Curiously, the folks there seemed to think that some of those rocks are between 1.2 and 1.5 billion years old.
Darn devil must have planted them to play tricks on the creationists who are coming to town this week.
Big day tomorrow:
- Adult Forum with Dr. Julie Wade and The Evolution of the Human Brain at 9:45 a.m.
- Worship at 11:00 a.m. From Cosmos to Cosmogenesis!
- Field trip to Gray Fossil Site and Museum at 2 p.m.
