How Nerdy Are You?

Thanks to Kay for this one.

I am nerdier than 62% of all people. Are you a nerd? Click here to find out!

I think I just wanted to appear nerdy. I am going to take it again. Who wants to be a low-rank nerd? I want to be a high-rank nerd!--Like most of my friends--if I had any.

  2. Darn. I could not post my tag! Anyway, I scored 59.

I would have scored much nerdier 20 years ago, but I guess time mellows that, too.

  3. I got a 93! wah-hooo!

One problem with this test is that it is unfairly skewed to math/science nerds. It says nothing about those of us who spent long hours on Friday nights translating Monty Python skits into Latin.

  4. I'm somewhat nerdy, which is really what I would have expected.

  5. I'm somewhat nerdy too, naturally (54 score). Chris, if you really spent Friday nights translating Monty Python skits to Latin, you should automatically qualify for honorary king-nerd status.

  6. Well, I am somewhat nerdy. I knew that though. Bobby you and I scored about the same. I am a 53. Oh ! I guess Brett and I are the exact same.

    (How nerdy did that sound)?

  8. I think any one who takes a nerd quiz is definitely a nerd!

    Society scores a 12?! I think he must be fibbing. : )

  9. I knew a programmer who was part of a group that undertook to translate the Bible into Klingon! Here's the great part: there was a schism (really?) over whether the translation should be literal or should also be gently massaged to reflect Klingon culture.

I think anyone in this group who has an argument one way or the other should have 10 points added to their nerd score.

  10. Translating the Bible into Klingon! I love it; that's hilarious! I agree, anyone who has a stake in the literal/cultural adjustment argument is a serious nerd....personally, I think it should be weighted somewhat to adjust to Klingon culture to allow them a better frame of reference of understanding. I'm not sure John's vision of a non-violent Jesus would go over on the Klingon homeworld, but I bet the Klingons would really like those left behind novels...
