  1. Well, let' s face it. These folks are going to say what it takes to get themselves elected.

Personally, I would be most concerned that our president is able to uphold the constitution of the United States, and has the experience and wisdom to govern. (I would definitely not vote for a candidate simply because he/she claimed to be a Christian believer.) We need to evaluate the issues.

Being a Christian can mean alot of things to different people. And, I have to admit that I'm abit skeptical of this campaign trail religion.

  3. Grace, remember that Constitution they're swearing to uphold contains these two statements:

"No religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States." (Art VI)

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof" (Amt 1, and the President is bound by Art I & II).

  4. I agree - barf. I am so tired of politicians playing the religion card to get votes. Or the race card, or any other. Maybe we need to have a comprehensive exam on the constitution as a prerequisite for running for office Change the Constitution to bring it into line with the Bible? Excuse me but don't we remember why people came to the New World and what they were escaping from?
