I just returned from King College in Bristol. Rev. Beverly Robinette, United Methodist Minister and Associate Chaplain at Emory and Henry College spoke about the Christian response to homosexuality. King College is very conservative. So it was refreshing to see the positive responses to Rev. Robinette's talk. She is open, gracious, and an advocate for lgbt students.
She said we need the voices in this area for inclusion and understanding. I am pleased to report that PFLAG Tri-Cities is coming along quite well. We have several folks interested. She would have been tarred and feathered if she had said that kind of stuff when I went to school there. I'm glad to see they are no so closed minded now.
