Carter County Stream Clean-Up

If you are near our mountain, join us tomorrow (Saturday) morning as we help clean the streams in Carter County. Co-chair of our Peacemaking Committee, Gary Barrigar, writes:

“How would you like to spend a spring morning with friendly folks walking beside a beautiful Appalachian Mountain stream, listening to the songs of warblers, and taking in the sight and smell of wildflowers?

If you would, join the Peacemaking Committee this Saturday, May 16, for the 21st Annual Carter County River and Stream Clean-up. Our church has agreed to adopt a portion of Dennis Cove as our clean-up area. We will meet at the Elizabethton Covered Bridge Park at 9:00 a.m. Litter bags and gloves will be provided. After the Clean-up, at noon, a picnic will be provided and there will be a drawing for prizes. Call Randall Rogers at 474- 3796 or Gary & Nancy Barrigar at 543-7576, if you want more details.”
