As you may have heard, there has been terrible flooding in eastern Kentucky and West Virginia. Mountaintop removal and logging contribute to flooding - as part of our commitment to community service, Mountain Justice members will be helping in the cleanup operations this Saturday. We will be taking our youth to Mingo County, WV for an Appalachia Service Project week in June. I wonder how this might affect what we will be doing.
We are taking our youth June 13-20 with WVMAW (a ministry of WV Presbytery). We were scheduled to go to Montgomery. I wonder if that will change.
