Leila Al-Imad will conduct an open forum on Iraq
Wednesday evening, September 19th at 7:00 pm at
the Jonesborough Library.  General  Petraeus'
report to Congress and the results of recent
public opinion polls will also be discussed with
Dr. Al-Imad, Professor of Middle East History at
ETSU.  This session will help us counter
continued support for the war in Iraq with the
real truth about conditions there, about the
political divide between Sunnis, Shiites & Kurds,
and about the refugee crisis for the 4 million
displaced Iraqis.  American Friends Service
Committee materials will support Wednesday
night's open discussion.
