Ten Thousand Villages Craft Sale

First Pres. hosts a cool sale the weekend before Thanksgiving. It is the Ten Thousand Villages Craft Sale. Check it! Go to to our web page to see photos of last year's sale.

First Presbyterian Church of Elizabethton to host Ten Thousand Villages Festival Sale

Festival sale invests in the lives of artisans around the world

(Elizabethton, Tenn) – Since the early 1990’s, volunteers at First Presbyterian Church have been supporting fair trade by hosting a Ten Thousand Villages Sale. On November 22nd and 23rd you can make fast work of your holiday shopping and purchase unique and useful hand-crafted items from all over the world by making one quick trip to Elizabethton. Favorite items include carved wooden bowls, hand-woven baskets, gorgeous jewelry and children’s toys.

As always, 100% of what we sell goes back to the 10,000 Villages organization which “provides vital, fair income to artisans in Africa, Asia and Latin America who would otherwise be unemployed or underemployed. This income helps pay for food, education, health care or housing. Ten Thousand Villages is a non-profit organization that has been working with people around the world since 1946.”

Last year was our highest selling sale to date, and we’re counting on your support once more. The public is invited to attend this unique and enjoyable sale Saturday November 22nd, 8 am – 3 pm and Sunday the 23rd from 1–3 pm at the First Presbyterian Church on “F” Street in Elizabethton. Cash and checks are accepted.
