JohnA few of things:1. The consensus in the kilted community is that whether this is a joke or not it is offensive!2. The writer probably received 200 or more emails from we who wear kilts and from women married to men who wear kilts, not so much objecting to the idea that gay men may wear kilts as the idea that there are a lot of us heterosexuals out here that wear kilts too!3. A great deal of people also pointed out that Jesus most probably didn't wear bifrucated garments (i.e. pants) so that the lady who wrote the article should shut up and sit down.4. I don't know much of anything about Brownback but with supporters like these he doesn't need enemies.
Heterosexuals for kilts! I am with you Bob! This website is offensive in too many ways to count!
I have spent more time on this interesting site! You all ought to read the legal fine print on the about page!
Here are just two statements I found laugh-out-loud hilarious:"Appalling news from the West Coast: The latest strain of the disease, uber-liberalism, has crept its way up the California coast and into Seattle, Washington."HORRORS!!! There are now liberals in Seattle! That bastion of frou-frou Starbucks drinks, Birkenstocks, gay-affirming software companies, medical marijuana and Kyoto pledges is in severe danger of no longer being the last safe place on the West Coast for manly Brownbackers. I am pretty confident that the author has never been to Seattle, but have they every even HEARD of it before now?And from the About page:"We believe that God has chosen Sam Brownback to take the baton from George W. Bush in 2008 and continue the fight against sin and immorality right here in this country as well as abroad."Aside from the obvious lying and obstruction of justice issues, how about the breathtaking amount of Hooker or Gay or Gay Hooker scandals currently under way in the Administration and the GOP muckety mucks?I'll say this for Democrats: they may get blasted for their "support" of wildly sinful sexual behavior, but at least they don't seem to actually engage in it as often as the Holier Than Thous.
