It’s being billed as “Trombonemania” tonight at The Milliennium Centre. Ace trombonist Conrad Herwig has come to town and will share the performance with Milligan College professor Rick Simerly, himself a nationally known trombonist, as well as The Charles Goodwin Trio and the ETSU Jazz Ensemble.
It’s part of the “Jazz at the Millennium” concert series sponsored by the East Tennessee State University Jazz Program. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. and general admission is $10. VIP tickets, which include priority seating and an artists’ reception, are $20.
Herwig hails from New York, and he is among the leading players on his instrument in the jazz world. He has made a name for himself in recent years with his Latin interpretations of some of the greatest jazz music ever — from John Coltrane and Miles Davis. (Read More)
