Get on the Peace Train

We are picking up steam! Creating a Culture of Peace is one of the major events at First Pres. as we celebrate 225 years of peacemaking.

We are going to be hosting the 18 hour workshop March 7, 8, & 9 and again April 4, 5, & 6 and again April 18, 19, & 20! The March gathering is full. Here is the registration form. Download it and send it in today!

This program is for anyone who ever has a conflict of any kind and would like to discover a better way to solve it.

Creating a Culture of Peace was founded by Janet Chisolm.
Our presenters will be Tim Pluta and Josie Setzler, practitioners and teachers of non-violence. This thing is in no way religious (sectarian) or dogmatic. But it is deeply spiritual. In a nutshell:

This is a program on the spirituality and practice of active nonviolence that helps us discover our own power for change and that teaches peacemaking skills and principles. The training program is available nationwide. It offers training to schools, civic organizations, veterans, congregations, and other groups seeking peaceful personal and social change.

Thanks to our sponsors who helped to underwrite the cost of these two workshops!
