New Book for Thursdays With Jesus!

Every Thursday from 10:30 until noon, a growing group of folks discuss a book of interest. So far we have read Marcus Borg's Jesus: Uncovering the Life, Teachings, and Relevance of a Religious Revolutionary, John Shelby Spong's, Jesus for the Non-Religious, and John Nash (a church member), Quest for the Soul.

Beginning Thursday, August 2nd, we are going to read John Dominic Crossan's latest,
God and Empire: Jesus Against Rome, Then and Now.

Progressive book studies are happening all over the country, both within congregations and without. If you are in the neighborhood you are certainly welcome to come to this one. But if you are not in the neighborhood, consider starting one of your own! You don't need a clergy type to lead it.
