I am happy to report that I am no longer the most gossiped about minister in Elizabethton. That honor goes to my new colleague. As Methodists recently made the changing of the guard, a local Methodist church has called a woman! I am not sure, but she may be the first woman called to pulpit ministry in Elizabethton.
Not only that, but she is with child!
I hear tell that she already has impressed them mightily with some excellent sermons. Finally, we can answer that age-old question:
Where does a pregnant woman belong?
Why in the pulpit, of course!
One thing is for sure: There won't be another minister in the county who has as much gravidas.
